15th-17^th August – East Rand Commando Military Camp

This district camp will be run by the East Rand Commando. More information will follow soon. Cost is expected to be around R150 (food only- all other costs are sponsored by the East Rand Commando). You need to confirm your attendance at this camp by the 1^st of August

6^th September – Scouting Display at Northmead Square

This event will be to raise awareness and recruit for the Scout groups in Benoni. More information to follow

26^th September- 4^th October – Mpumalanga Summer Camp

After our visit to the Mpumalanga Centenary Camp last year, we were invited back. This year we will be helping out with training, teaching pioneering to the Mpumalanga Scouts, but will also find time to take part in the activities at the campsite. The cost is R150, transport will be additional. This year the camp will be near the Bambi hotel outside Waterval Boven, and parents are once again welcome to join us (either in caravans or chalets). You need to confirm your attendance at this camp by the 22^nd of August and pay by the 29^th.

Also planned this term are some water activities with First Benoni, wide games in Arrowe Park and a few other surprises. Callisto will continue to meet with us on Friday nights this term.

The annual Jamboree on the Air/ Jamboree on the Internet takes place in the third weekend in October, and is an opportunity to speak to Scouts from around the world via radio nad on the internet
